

Rules & Guidelines for Elevate Eisteddfod
Welcome to Elevate Eisteddfod! To ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all participants, please read the following rules and guidelines carefully.
Performance Rules:
Song Selection:

Performers must select and submit their song during registration.

Due to the volume of registrations, once a song has been submitted and uploaded, it cannot be changed unless multiple performers have selected the same song. In this case:

The performer who submitted first will secure the song.

Other performers will be contacted to choose a new song.
Song Length:
-
Performances must not exceed 4 minutes. Please edit your backing track accordingly.
Backing Tracks:
-
All backing tracks must be submitted as an MP3
-
Backing tracks with backing vocals are allowed, but:
-
Ghosting of lead vocals is strictly prohibited. Performers must sing all lead vocal parts live.

Ensure your backing track is properly edited and clearly labeled with your full name, category, age division and song title. For example:
"John Doe - Contemporary Performance - 10 and Under - I've Got the Music In Me"
Originality and Preparation:

Ensure that your performance showcases your unique style and interpretation.

Practice thoroughly to present your best performance on the day.
Evaluators Criteria:
Performances will be evaluated on the following criteria:

Vocal Technique – pitch, tone, control, and execution of the performance.

Stage Presence – confidence, connection with the audience, and charisma.
-
Stage Movement – effective use of the stage and body language.
-
Energy and Conviction – the passion and commitment to the performance.
-
Overall Vocal Performance – the impact and cohesiveness of your performance.
Ticketing Guidelines:
Mission Support:
All ticket proceeds directly support the mission of Elevate Eisteddfod to reinvest in future events and ensure the ongoing success of this initiative. This includes:

Covering event production costs (prizes, advertising, awards, staff, venue hire, audio and visual hire, and any required licenses).

Enhancing opportunities for performers in the Sydney metropolitan and Northern Beaches areas.
Additionally, vocal coaches of performers are invited to attend the event free of charge as part of our commitment to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for all participants.
Non-Refundable Policy:

Tickets are non-refundable upon purchase due to their role in funding the mission and covering event costs.

Please ensure you can attend before purchasing tickets.
Ticket Purchase:

Tickets can be purchased online via our website or at the venue (subject to availability).

Audience members must retain their tickets for entry and re-entry to the event.
Audience Etiquette:

Audience members are asked to respect all performers by refraining from talking or making noise during performances.

Children must be supervised at all times.
Event Day Guidelines:
Check-In:

Performers must check in at the registration desk 30 minutes before their category starts to confirm their attendance.
Performance Order:

The order of performances will be announced at check-in. Please be ready when called to perform.
Attire:

Performers are encouraged to dress in a way that enhances their performance and aligns with their chosen song.
Audience Etiquette:

Audience members are asked to respect all performers by refraining from talking or making noise during performances.
Awards and Feedback:
Awards:

Awards will be presented for standout performances in each category based on the evaluators criteria.
Feedback:

Performers will receive individual feedback from the evaluators to support their growth and development as artists.

Recording & Photography:

By participating in the Eisteddfod, performers consent to their performances being recorded or photographed for promotional purposes. Images and videos from the eisteddfod will be available for purchase.

Elevate Eisteddfod is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings during the event.

Code of Conduct:

All participants and audience members are expected to maintain a respectful and positive attitude throughout the event. Any inappropriate behavior may result in disqualification or removal from the venue.

Child Safe Procedure:

Elevate Eisteddfod is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all participants, particularly children and young people. Our Child Safe Procedure ensures that all staff, volunteers, and event personnel adhere to strict guidelines to prioritize the safety and wellbeing of minors. This includes mandatory Working with Children Checks for relevant personnel, clear protocols for supervision, and a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of misconduct. Parents and guardians are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these procedures to help us maintain a secure and enjoyable environment for everyone.
